We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2025, at the age of 87, Violetta June Lawson (Oneida, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Chitwood and Elizabeth Chitwood; her brothers, Charles and Marshall Chitwood; and her siblings-in-law, Billy Silcox and Bernadene Lawson.
She is survived by: her husband Howard Lawson; her children, Deborah June Marshall (Jim) of Cynthiana, KY and Howard Lance Lawson (Donna); her brothers, Tommy Chitwood of Cookeville, TN and Ross Chitwood (Shirley) of Helenwood, TN; her grandchildren, Misty (Kenny Jarrell) of Lexington, KY, Mandy Bras, Macy Marshall, Rebecca of Cynthiana, KY and Madeline Fletcher (Ryan) of Cicero, IN; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Bryce, Jacob, Evelyn, Rylee and Zoe; her siblings-in-law, Jimmy Lawson (Tammy), Benton Lawson, Wilma Jeffers (Claud), Thelma Silcox and Barbara Jackson (Tim) of Farmersville, OH; and her close friends, Annette Lawson and Eva Pennington. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home (18641 Alberta St, Oneida, TN 37841). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
