It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan Velmont Dillon of Ooltewah, Tennessee, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart "Bud" Dillon and Clyta Dillon; and his grandson Michael Dillon King. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Lane Dillon; his brother David Dillon (Brenda) of Nashville, TN.; his children, Mark Dillon (Debra) of Tuscaloosa, AL., Debbie King (Matt) of Phenix City, AL. and Susan Mahrt (Marty) of Chattanooga, TN.; his grandchildren, Tara Coker (Chris) of Salem, AL., Ashley Dillon of Birmingham, AL. and Jessica Dillon of Huntsville, AL.; his great grandchild Seth Holloway of Salem, AL.; and his nephew Brian (Marina Dillon). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
