She was predeceased by: her husband George R. Smith; her parents, Samuel Allen and Sallie Sims Allen; her son Garry Smith; her stepmother Ruth Allen; and her sister Virginia Hickman.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Julie Witherow (Nakia), Jason Tankersley (Sabrina), Stephanie Hodges (Jason), Anna Killingsworth (Brian), Chrissy Staples (Chris), Scott Smith and Jacqueline Hardin Christopher (Robert).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Turner Funeral Home (3913 Webb Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37416). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
