We are sad to announce that, on February 7, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Larry Samuel Lackey of Ooltewah, Tennessee, born in Clinton, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As Larry departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Larry may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Larry leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Robinson Lackey and Joseph McVeigh Lackey; and his parents-in-law, Henry and Jean Hankins. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hankins Lackey; his daughter Gina Diane Lackey; his sister Joan Lackey Moore; his brother-in-law Gordon Moore; and his niece Elizabeth Moore Keene. He is also survived by one great-niece and one great-nephew; along with numerous extended family members and friends.
