He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman B. Ellis and Velma Hatcher Ellis; and his grandparents, Frank, Nora Ellis, Ner and Undine Hatcher.
He is survived by: his sister Goldie Ellis Campbell; his brother-in-law Charles Lee Campbell; his wife Joyce Pait Ellis; his children, Gregg W. Ellis (Valerie) of Longwood, FL, Craig S. Ellis (Wendy) of Bremerton, WA, Rebecca Ellis Mixson (Becky) and Virginia Ellis Wilson (Glenn) of Ooltewah, TN; his grandchildren, Haylee Ellis Hunter (Travis), Samantha Ellis Phillips (Christopher) of Bremerton, WA, Jessica Ellis Roberson (Joshua) of Longwood, FL, Katherine Ellis of Casselberry, FL, Sarah Ann Wilson of Ooltewah, TN, Jacob Mixson of Berry Hill, TN, Noah Wilson and Micah Wilson of Ooltewah, TN; his great grandchildren, Avery Grace Hunter, Briar Olivia Hunter of Bremerton, WA, Aria Joyce Phillips of Bremerton, WA, Alexandria Elizabeth Ellis of Casselberry, FL and Ryan Atienza Phillips of Bremerton, WA; and his sister Judy Ellis Daniels. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ooltewah Baptist Church (5514 Main St, Collegedale, TN 37363). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
