He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Mae Edgmon Skeggs; his parents, George Horace and Helen Moore Skeggs; and his sister Janet Lewis. He is survived by: his daughters, Sheryl Skeggs Stull of Chattanooga, TN., Carlene Skeggs Jarrett of Hernando, FL. and Sandra Ringer (David) of Angwin, CA.; his sister Diane Gamcsik (Gary) of Ashburn, VA.; his grandchildren, Amy Morris (Chuck), Kate Willis (Adam), Lesli Stull (Ryan Boldt), Mark Ringer (Janell) and Jonathan Ringer (Xakeila); and his great grandchildren, Drew Morris, Marley Kate Morris, Jonah Willis and Malachi Ringer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
