He was predeceased by: his father Reverend Glenn Pursel. He is survived by: his mother Ann Dunn Pursel of Florida; his wife Kelly Richie Dempsey Pursel of Ooltewah; his daughter Morgan Pursel Tetzlaff (Jake) of Indiana; and his sister Debi Pursel Valenzuela (Greg) of New Jersey.
