It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy Sims of Ooltewah, Tennessee, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Tommy departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Tommy. Though Tommy may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Sims; his daughters, Teri Sims of Roswell, GA, Geri Sims of Roswell, GA and Angela Bunch (Tony) of Sevierville, TN; his grandchildren, Teagan Knebuhler (Kris) of Roswell, GA and Alexis Glantz (Mike) of Roswell, GA; and his great grandchildren, Rialyn, Karter Kneubuhler, Posie and Navy Glantz.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Maple Grove Baptist Church (9525 Birchwood Pike, Harrison, TN 37341). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lakewood Memory Gardens (3809 Cummings Hwy, Chattanooga, TN 37419).
