He is survived by: his wife Deborah Kelly Thompson; his children, Tiffany Britt (Kenneth) and Verle Thompson III (Karah); his siblings, Ruth Williams, Cynthia Gaver (Jeff) and Barry Fowler (Carol); and his grandchildren, Verle Thompson IV, McKenna Britt, Olivia Thompson and Michael Britt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
