He was predeceased by: his mother Etta Mae Slatton Layne. He is survived by: his father John Wesley Layne; and his siblings, George, Jimmy Layne, Lorene Frydrychowski and Christine Vaughn of Whitwell, Tennessee. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
