She was predeceased by : her parents, Margaret Merrell (Lady Bug) and Albert Merrell of Palmer, TN.; and her sister Alyene Hall. She is survived by : her children, Connie Peterson (Dan), Walter Hall (Suzy), Janice Hodge (David) of Chattanooga, Carol Hall (Tina Hall) and Doris Wiggins (Bobby). She is also survived by many grand nephews and nieces, two God children, friends, cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital are welcomed.

“I was a big part of your family for almost 15 years and circumstances put us in different directions. I thank Carol for always staying in touch and letting me know of important things. After all those years of being family, my heart still holds a lot of love for you all and I think of you often. As you know, Juanita had a big impact on my life and don't know where I would be today without her. Her demise is a great loss to many and the Chattanooga area. Love U all. Susie Durham”
