She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Basson, Sr. and Flora Esterlee Hollingsworth Basson; her children, Lanita Battles and Karl Edward Battles; and her siblings, Steve Basson, Jr., Snooks Basson, Betty Price, Billie Basson and Ruby Jo Boyles.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Battles; her son Daryl Battles (Kheri) of Paris, TN; her grandchildren, Evelyn Rose Battles and Karl Alexander Battles; and her brothers-in-law, Bobby Battles (Debbie) of Paris, TN and Billy Battles (Rosie) of Hanover, IN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
