She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Rufe Hays; her parents, Lucien Phelps Reed and Catherine Elizbeth Gorman Reed; her son Jack Reed Hays; and her siblings, Laverne "Snooks", Jeanette, Annie Mae Quinlivan, Pat and Edward.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Doster (Tim) of McKenzie, Jackie Bickel (Paul) of Louisville, KY and Tom Hays of Jefferson, GA; her grandchildren, Katie Booker (Andrew) and Claire Campbell (Donald); and her great grandchildren, Caroline, Eloise, Maggie, Tripp and Emmeline.
