She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Salyer and Clara Peck Salyer; her husband James Elmer Matheny; her son James Steven "Steve" Matheny; and her great grandchild Scarlett Bledsoe.
She is survived by: her children, Cheri Hodge (Troy) of Paris, TN and Mark Matheny (Terri) of Springville, TN; and her grandchildren, Trina Fisher (Chad), Jessica Matheny, Cassandra Matheny, Jennifer Carroll, Rachel Matheny, Jazmine Wiles (Collins), Brandon Miles and Kayla Hodge. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Henry Baptist Church, 20 East College Street, Henry, TN, 38231.
