She was predeceased by: her parents, William Tellie and Mary Lucille Pinson Nanney; her spouse Rev. Glynn D. Byars; her son James Edward Byars (Janice) of Tennessee Ridge, TN; her sons-in-law, Ira Rumley and David Keith, Sr.; and her great grandchild Samuel Crockett Byars.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Rumley of McMinnvile, TN, Deborah Keith of Nashville and Randy Byars (Patricia) of Paris, TN; her grandchildren, John Byars (Ashton), Elizabeth Hoffman, Mitzi Hutter, Matt Byars, James Robert Byars (Trina), Julie Moore (Shane), Lisa Coats (Derek), Shane Rumley (Emily), Sharon Allen (Doug), David Tate, David Keith, Jr. (Michelle) and Susan Jackson (Randy); and her daughter-in-law Cindy Byars of Henry, TN. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Long Rock United Methodist Church (340 Long Rock Church Rd, Huntingdon, TN 38344). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
