She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham Elliott Tinsley and Beulah Bell Justus Tinsley; her husband Doyle Gordon Brown; and her son Doyle Gregory Brown. She is survived by: her daughters, Andrea Brown Miller (Larry) of Paris, TN, Joni Brown Gorman (Pat) of Ellijay, GA and Robin Brown Betsch (Ron) of Hattiesburg, MS; and her grandchildren, Ashley Schmitt (TJ), Laura Copeland (Brad), Taylor Gorman, Michelle Yarborough (Joe), Mason Betsch, Mollie Tice (Andrew) and Maggie Vineyard (Michael). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
