He was predeceased by: his parents, John Milspaugh Hopper and Louise Miller Hopper; and his grandchild Thomas Ruger. He is survived by: his wife Cecelia McGowan Hopper; his son Christopher Hopper (Ellen Sargent) of Portland, ME; his grandchildren, Timothy Sheehan (Jessica), Andrew Sheehan, Danica Sheehan-Ackert, Ryan Ruger (Christa Mathers) and Mikayla Schumski; and his pet Elsie.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
