He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Travis and Gertie Henry Travis Schwartz; his wife Patsy L. Potter Travis; and his siblings, Lucille Bingham, Virginia Jewell, Barbara Epperson, Shirley Brown and Virgil Travis.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Peppers (Doug) of Paris; his grandchildren, Anthony Peppers (Bethany), Dillon Baccus (Hanah), Hannah Clayton (C. J.) and Ryan Peppers; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Peppers, Liam Peppers, Adelynn Rose Peppers, Rhett Baccus, Emmit Clayton, Austin Elsner and Sabrina Elsner.
