She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee A. Gates, Sr. and Bonnie Pearcy Crain; her husband Robert Burress; her son Denny Walker; her siblings, Tammie Farley, April Nicholson, Cary L. Gates, Sr. and Lee A. Gates, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Terry Abrams.
She is survived by: her daughter Brandy Young (Bob Cash) of Indiana; her sisters, Bonita Abrams and Della Lowery (Robert); her grandchildren, Brittany Jones (Ryan Meredith), Chelsea Young (Aaron Gray), Kenzie Bush (Benjamin), Kyle Walker (Maddie), Dustin Young, Kaiden, Chloe, Kinzlee, Isabella, Tatum, Maddox, Asher, Griffin and Rosalee; and her sisters-in-law, Melodi Gates and Billie Gates.
