We bid farewell to Philip D. Smith Jr. of Paris, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Philip touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip D. Smith and Dorothy Gibbs Smith; his spouse Shirley Irene Grant Smith; his son Philip D. Smith III; and his brother Donald LePage.
He is survived by: his children, Corrine Smith Garrison of Cookeville, TN and Edward Smith (Sara) of Paris; his grandchildren, Grant Garrison, Kevin Garrison, Philip Smith, Katelyn Garrison, Abigail Venuso, Hannah Brinker and Paige Smith; his great grandchildren, Helen Brinker, Zipporah Venuso, Philip Edward Smith, Sora Brinker, Eden Venuso and Saorsa Smith; and his brother Rodney Smith of Reno, NV. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McEvoy Funeral Home (507 W Washington St, Paris, TN 38242). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
