We announce the death of Richard Orlando Battles of Paris, Tennessee, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Eugene Battles and Evelyn Juanita Wicks Battles; his wife Anna Lou Basson Battles; and his children, Lanita Battles and Karl Edward Battles.
He is survived by: his son Daryl Battles (Kheri) of Paris, TN; his grandchildren, Evelyn Rose Battles and Karl Alexander Battles; and his brothers, Bobby Battles of Paris, TN and Billy Battles of Hanover, IN.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 at the Oak Hill Union Church (5275 TN-69, Paris, TN 38242).
