He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Barrett and Minnie Lou Hunt Barrett; his siblings, Alice Phillips and Charles Barrett; and his daughter Kathy Janette Barrett.
He is survived by: his wife Betty McKennon Barrett; his daughters, Debby Ferrell of Mebane, NC, Kristy Crawford (James) of Paris, Gini Roberts (David John) of Paris and Emily Baker (Jim) of Paris; his brother Jimmy Barrett of Paris; and his grandchildren, Lindsey Ferrell Alexander (Paul), Kelly Ferrell, Denny Crawford (Jerianne Thompson), Barry Crawford (Laura) and Ashley Allen (John). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (313 N Poplar St, Paris, TN 38242).
