He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Thomas; his parents, Carl Thomas and Lena Belle Thomas; and his siblings, Labon Thomas, Gaylon Thomas, Una Vee Broome and Dora Jane Ownby.
He is survived by: his daughter Carlene Roark (David) of Parrottsville; and his siblings-in-law, Melvyn Ottinger of Dalton, GA and JoAnn Suggs of Parrottsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
