He was predeceased by: his parents, John Holt and Lucy Hutchison Holt; and his siblings, Walace Holt, Ransom Holt, Ideline Buttrey, Madeline Rust, Johnie Holt Rust and Margaret Jean Petway.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Drake Holt; his children, Janet Wilson (David) and Andrew Holt (Karen Milliken); his grandchildren, Heather McArdle (Dorian), Dana Pitt (David) and Adam Milliken; and his great grandchildren, Aubree Pitt, Ryan McArdle, Ava Pitt and Harper Pitt. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the West Harpeth Funeral Home and Crematory (6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
