She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward Dodson; her parents, Leroy Smith and Betty Jean Johnson; her siblings, Larry, Mike, Richard Stafford, Darrell Smith, Rhonda Stafford, Sharon Smith and Wanda Smith; her granddaughter Hailey Freeman; Peanut.

She is survived by: her children, Jonathan Dewayne Freeman, Daphne Denise Freeman and Ariel Samantha Freeman; her grandchildren, Chloe McHone, Edwin Thomas, Olivia Freeman, Emily Gordon, Donavan Gordon, Quentin Freeman, Ava Sweeney, Adalyn Sweeney and Alaina Davis; and her siblings, Dale Smith, Carolyn Young, Patricia Dodson, Shirley Smith and Lisa Smith.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Pikeville Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
