It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Mae Smith of Pikeville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Claude P. Smith, Sr.; her son Eddie Clyde Smith; her granddaughter Donna Gail Smith; her granddaughter-in-law Charity McCloud; her brother Clarence P. Burgess; and her mother Iola Burgess.
She is survived by: her children, Claude Phillip Smith, Jr. (Peggy), Brenda Brandt (Lonnie) of Westerville, NE and Mary Frances Christian; her grandchildren, Billy Wayne Smith (Nicole), Stacey Mattox (Dave) of Broken Bow, NE, Shane Brandt (Susan) of Crescent, IA, Michael McCloud (Tina), Scottie McCloud, Shawn Brandt (Darby) of Brady, NE and Tracie Yother (Jason); and her sister-in-law Brenda Burgess. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
