He was predeceased by: his parents, James Watson and Bessie Cripps Watson; and his brother Gilbert Watson. He is survived by: his spouse Sharon R. Watkins Watson; his children, Shenia Derrick (Barry), Shonda Holt (William), Sam T. Watson (Kristen) and Chris Roberts (Ashley); and his siblings, Treva Gore (Lee), Elizabeth Hale (Hoyt), James Watson (Carolyn) and Lela Watson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren;several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Griffith Volunteer Fire Department.
