It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Leland Freeman of Pikeville, Tennessee, who passed away on May 18, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Freeman, Sr. and Ruby Hancock Freeman; and his siblings, Della White, George Freeman, Stella Cunningham, Wilma Bolen, Barbara Ann Freeman and Ernest Lee Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Freeman; his sons, Wayne Freeman (Kelly) and Andy Freeman (Shirley); his sisters, Rebecca Carol Angel (Larry) of Pikeville, TN and Betty Brown of Whitwell; and his brother-in-law L. D. Cunningham. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
