He was predeceased by : his daughter Cassandra Patton; his parents, Mary Sandell Bennett Lemons and Joe Bennett; his cousin Sammy Joe Sandell; and his sister Reba Tucker.
He is survived by : his wife Tammie Patton of Pikeville, TN; his children, Ernie Patton (Carolyn) of Pikeville, TN and Willie Patton of Pikeville, TN; his grandchild Jodie Miller (Travis); his great grandchild Aaron Miller; his siblings, Bobby Patton (Cindy) of Pikeville, Sandra Clark of Chattanooga, TN, Ernest Bennett of Pikeville, TN and Jimmy Bennett; and his brothers-in-law, Rickey Smith, Randy Smith and Clay Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
