Freida Perry Obituary
We announce the death of Freida Perry of Pleasant View, Tennessee, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 92. Freida will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Garrett and Mary Brown Garrett; her husband Elvis Gafford; her children, Elvis Michael Gafford and Debra Lee Gafford Hayes; her grandson William "Billy" Hayes, Jr.; and her stepson Ronald Perry.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Gafford and Delores Gafford Finnen (Darrell); her grandchildren, Michelle Hayes, Jennifer Hayes and Elvis Hayes; her sister Seglema Sue Hunt; her stepgrandchildren, Caleb Winters, Aaron Winters, Lauren Fitzhugh, Rebecca Lynn Finnen, Amy Christina Finnen and Anna Lauren Finnen; and her stepdaughter Patsy Perry.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home (6316 Hwy 41 A, Pleasant View, TN 37146). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
