He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hayes Welch and Mazelle Welch. He is survived by: his wife Fay Fuller Welch; his son Jason Welch (Sherri); his sister Patty Arnett (Mark); his grandchildren, Tristan Welch and Brynn Welch; and his close friend Johnnie Mitchell. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 8:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (7140 Whites Creek Pike, Joelton, TN 37080).
