He was predeceased by: his daughter Susan Hosaflook. He is survived by: his wife Linda Costello; his children, Jennifer Hardy (Paul) and Vernon Ray Costello, Jr. (Donna); his stepson Oscar Dewayne Blythe; his grandchildren, Justin Blythe, Jarrett Blythe, Harrison Blythe, Emma Grace Blythe and Baylor Blythe; his siblings, David Costello (Sally), Mildred Klingbyll (James), Patricia Hall (Gary) and Donna Copas (Mark); Anna Blythe Wyatt.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home (6316 Hwy 41 A, Pleasant View, TN 37146). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ray's Funeral Service (6316 Hwy 41 A, Pleasant View, TN 37146).
