Ewell Wayne Gentry Obituary
88 of Portland , Tn. passed Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Tri Star Hendersonville; he was born October 28, 1935 to the late Ewell Thomas Gentry and Susie Alice Starks Gentry.
Along with his parents, Mr. Gentry was preceded in death his brother, Roy Gentry.
Mr. Gentry is survived by his wife, Jo Evelyn Gentry; children, Lisa Stamps (Mitchell), Brenda Gentry, Tonya Vanatta (Mark), Bruce Hunter (Vickie), Cheryl Roach (Donnie), Evalyn Thompson; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Vanatta, Joyce Hunt (Jim) Jimmy Gentry (Patty), Judy Gentry and Ricky Gentry.
Funeral service for Mr. Gentry will be on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 2 p.m with Chad Dunning officiating, with visitation on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 8.pm and on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.(service time).
Following the funeral service, interment will be in Mitchellville General Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Johns, Jeff Johns, Tommy Johns, John Johns, Michael Lawrence, Brett Vanatta and Jared Roach.
