He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Crafton and Lila Mae Eden Crafton; and his son Dr. James A. Crafton. He is survived by: his wife Betty Louise Kitchens Crafton; his son John P. Crafton, Jr. (Sara Ann); his daughter-in-law Kim Crafton; his sister Joyce Ann Crafton; his grandchildren, Jennifer Jones (Calen), Emily Crafton (Josh Lambert), Mary Helen Daeley (Matt), John Austin Crafton (Olivia) and Elizabeth Crafton; his stepgrandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Marashi (Al) and Matt Hooper; and his great grandchildren, Brantley Suddarth, Catherine Jones, Elizabeth Jones, Hattie Crafton and Millie Crafton.
