It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ross Holder of Portland, Tennessee, born in Wartburg, Tennessee, who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Holder and Birdie Hawn Holder; his wife Pamela Holder; his son Johnny Holder; and his brothers, Ronnie Hale Barnes, Jimmy Anderson, Skeets Oscar and William Dudley.

He is survived by : his children, Brian Holder (Sarah) and Kimberly Sims (David); his siblings, Ruby Mae Sproles, Jim Holder (Edi) and Henry Holder; and his grandchildren, Sarah F. Holder (Tyler), John Holder, Emily Carver (Cody), Zachary Sims, Noah, Gavin, Gunnar and Grayson Holder. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
