He is survived by: his wife Dhana Pilkinton; his children, Barry Ray Pilkinton, Sean Thomas Pilkinton, Kevin Charles Pilkinton and Jaclyn Denise Watson; his siblings, Anita Pilkinton Slaughter (Ronald Eugene Slaughter II), Lisa Pilkinton Law (James Keith) and Larry Pilkinton; and his siblings' children, Mary Vanessa Harl (Jeremy), Jeremy McDaniel, Christopher Daniel Slaughter, Stephen Noah Ray Slaughter, Ronald Eugene Slaughter III and John Joseph Slaughter.
