She was predeceased by: her parents, Elisher Henry Wilson and Mary Rebecca Hall Wilson; her husband Homer Mayes; her siblings, Robert "Bud" Wilson and E. H. "Slim" Wilson; her sons-in-law, Mike Brooks and Fred Shetters; and her great grandchild Hailey Pitt.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Pitt (Charles) of Portland, Brenda Shetters of Portland, Homer Dale Mayes (Lisa) of Portland and Lesia Black (Kerry) of Portland; and her grandchildren, Charles Jr. Pitt (Betsy), Susie Booker (Tommy), Clint Pitt (Trisha), Cliff Pitt (Fallon), Ty Shetters, Todd Shetters (Katie), Justin Mayes (Kimberly), Abbey Mayes, Amber Kennedy (Josh) and Lucas Brooks. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren; & three great- great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Halltown General Baptist Church (120 Dink Rut Rd, Portland, TN 37148). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Halltown Cemetery.
