He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lakin and Estella Lakin; his wife Monnie Lakin; and his siblings, Calvin, Caleb, Clyde, Carlos Lakin, Edna Yearwood and Alene Lakin.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve Lakin (Terri) of Powell and Jack Lakin of Knoxville; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Lakin (Brooke), Nicholas Lakin (Jenna), Jessica Michaels (Jeff) and Jordan Lakin (Stephanie). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
