He is survived by: his wife Jearld Lucas; his daughters, Denise Miller (Dennis) and Angela Bell (Jim); his grandchildren, James Miller (Melissa), Sarah Copper (Stephen), Michael Bell, Emaleigh Bell, Mary Miller and Abigail Bell; his great grandchildren, Peter, Lucas Copper and Ren Miller; and his stepbrother Charles Smith (Delmy).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made out to Fountain City Presbyterian Church Music Fund.
