He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Carl and Mary Gindlesperger Boyd; and his sister Patricia Boyd Martin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Henderson Boyd; his children, Susan Boyd of Bellmawr, NJ and Edward Boyd (Heather) of Powell; his grandchildren, Blair, Thomas, Vivian and Happy; his sisters, Betty Boyd Rager of Johnstown, PA and Carolee Boyd Humphrey of Woodbury, NJ; and his sisters-in-law, Wanda Henderson Wilson of Asheville, NC and Marie Walker Henderson of Wartrace, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Powell Chapel (2000 Powell Drive, Powell, TN 37849). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 1:45 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Bells Campground Cemetery (7915 Bell Campground Rd, Powell, TN 37849).
