He is survived by: his children, Alyssa Bean and Blake Stooksbury; his grandchildren, Rowan and Ruby Stooksbury; and his brothers, Billy Stooksbury, Larry Stooksbury (Cathey), Rex Stooksbury (Sue), George Stooksbury (Cindy) and Mike Stooksbury (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
