He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Hewitt and Gordon "Tony" Hewitt; and his son Michael Hewitt. He is survived by: his close friend Herman; his wife Betty Hewitt; his sister Dottie Hewitt; his niece Lynette Barnes; his brother-in-law Herman Long; and his close friend Sherrod Thomas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home (621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens (160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN 37849).
