She was predeceased by: her father Herbert Newton; and her brothers, Maurice and Jerry Martin. She is survived by: her mother Virginia Martin (Nicholson); her husband Gary Smith; her daughters, Ginger Pevy Haun (Doug), Leslie Smith Cross (Jeff) and Rachel Smith Walker (Greg); and her brother Gary Martin. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
