She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Tidwell and Doris Tidwell; her former husband Donald Slaughter; her siblings, Leon, Loyl, Arnold, Charles, Shirley, Gracie, Ethel, Alvi and Fay; and her adoptive son Ricky Dale Slaughter.
She is survived by: her husband John Emerson Potts; and her granddaughter Haley Slaughter. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
