He was predeceased by: his parents, David Wray and Winnie Oneida Brent Armstrong; his wife Theresa Armstrong; his son-in-law Joseph Scott Hardin; and his sister Carol Black.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Mark (Jessica Armstrong) and Susan A. Hardin of Brentwood, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Martha Tatum Hardin, Caleb Gibson, Joseph Fate, Elizabeth Hardin, Sanders Wray Hardin, Toni Armstrong, Giovanni DeAngelis, Tolar Armstrong and Ellie Mae Armstrong; and his brother Michael Armstrong of Knoxville. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (500 Ballentine St, Pulaski, TN 38478).
