We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2025, at the age of 98, Dolores Marie Vicknair Shelton of Pulaski, Tennessee, born in Marrero, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Dolores had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Dolores may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Vicknair and Julia Vicknair (Lee); her sisters, Shirley Becnel and Marilyn Munsterman; and her daughter Jackie Lee Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Denair Melson (Harald); her grandchildren, Thor Melson (Lindsay), Jason Murrah and Ali Smith; and her great grandchild Gunnar Melson. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
