He was predeceased by: his wife Glenda Gooch; his parents, Bayumn Harry and Rosie Crabtree Gooch; his siblings, Ruby Hasting and Thomas Gooch; and his niece Melissa Crouch.

He is survived by: his daughter Michelle James (Harry) of Frankfort, KY; and his granddaughters, Leslie Crouch of Oundle, England and Ryleigh Worsham (Greg) of Prospect, TN..
