He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Tarpley and Elise Newton Tarpley; and his brother James Calvin Tarpley. He is survived by: his wife Judy Tarpley of Pulaski, TN; his children, Christie Jordan (Gary) of Pulaski, TN, Harriet Thompson (Jason) of Pulaski, TN, Mike Hargrove (Linda) of New Johnsonville, TN, Bradley Hargrove of Pulaski, TN and Bobby Bolton of Pulaski, TN; his grandchildren, Kylie Wilbanks (Justin), Gabriel Bailey, Alyna Bolton, Anthony Hargrove, Tiffany Skeen, Clara Jean Marchbanks, Katie Warren, Kelby Thompson and Kameron Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Lani, Sadi Hopper, Gracie Haddock, Johnny Reed Warren and Oaklee Hargrove.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory (1910 Elkton Pike, Pulaski, TN 38478). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
