She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman James and Mildred James; her husband William Hurd; her siblings, Joyce Garner, Arnold and Rudolph James; her great grandchild Frank James; her former husband Lyndall Davis; and her stepson Jeff Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Brent James (Bonnie) of Hohenwald, James Davis (Crystal) of Prospect and Terry Brown (Butch) of Toney; her stepdaughter Melanie White (Stan) of Hartselle; and her sisters, Mary Messer (Kevin) of Killian and Sue Mashburn (Wayne) of Leoma. She is also survived by her 23 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
