She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond "Sonny" Gilbert and Hazel Posey Gilbert. She is survived by : her husband Paul "Joe" King; and her siblings, Sherry Smith, Rita Anyan, Lanita Smith, Raymond Gilbert, Jr. and Eddie Gilbert.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home (27186 Main St, Ardmore, AL 35739). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
